Sound familiar?
Is this you?
- You know your business has huge potential, but you're not sure how to start getting press.
- PR feels overwhelming, so you've put it in the too hard basket.
- Self-promotion doesn't feel natural or comfortable.
- You keep seeing competitors in the media and wonder, "How are they doing this?"
- You've relied on Meta ads, and you're tired of rising costs and unpredictable results.
That's exactly why I created Media Masters Academy.
A PR agency is out of reach for most small businesses, and ads cost more every month. Media coverage is free, it builds trust that ads can't buy, and once you know how the media works you can keep getting it. In six weeks I'll show you the stories journalists actually want, how to pitch them, and how to turn each win into the next one. No sleazy self-promotion, no confusion. Just a clear formula you can follow.

Meet your coach
Hi, I'm Liz.
Former TV news reporter and producer, now small business owner (just like you!).
I spent 15 years in TV newsrooms as a journalist and producer, including six years in New York. I've sat on the other side of the pitch, so I know what makes a journalist say yes.
Then I became a small business owner myself, as Australia's first Xtend Barre franchisee, and got featured in every major media organisation in Australia without spending a cent on PR. Media Masters Academy is the formula I used, with the curtain pulled right back.
- 15 years in TV news

Questions
Do I need a big business or a PR background?
No. You don't need to be a certain revenue size or have a team. What matters is that you own and run your business and have a message worth sharing. Whether you're a founder, an entrepreneur or running a side hustle, if you're ready to step into the spotlight, this is for you.
How much time does it take?
Around 2 to 3 hours a week during the course: about an hour of training, an hour of live calls, and time to write and pitch. After the course, Liz's pitching routine takes about 2 hours a week, one hour to pitch and one to follow up.
How do the journalist pitch sessions work?
You pitch your story idea live to a working journalist or producer, in a small group. Each session runs 60 to 90 minutes. You do some pre-work so you're ready, and you leave with direct feedback even if your pitch isn't picked up on the spot. This round's guest experts: Liz to confirm.
Is it one on one coaching?
It's small group coaching with live feedback in every session and in the private group. If you pay in full, you also get a 30 minute one on one with Liz. Private coaching is available separately if you want more.
Why not just pay a publicist?
A publicist typically costs $5,000 to $10,000 a month. The Academy gives you the skills, templates and contacts to run your own PR for good. Even if you hire someone later, knowing how the media works makes you a better client.
How long do I have access?
12 weeks of access to the course (six during, six after), lifetime access to the alumni Facebook group, and three months of the media database. You can also join Inner Circle afterwards to stay consistent.
What happens if I'm not accepted?
Liz reads every application herself and emails you within 24 hours either way. If it isn't the right fit this round, your $497 deposit is refunded.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Choose two monthly payments of $2,650 or three of $1,797 when Liz accepts your application.
